Preliminary work starts for the Elizabeth Landmark

Groundworks have begun to create an entrance at the site of the Elizabeth Landmark on Cold Law, Northumberland.

The contractor, ACE, is working to create a safe entrance to the site for the large vehicles and equipment needed for the project's future construction phase.

This initial work is estimated to take around seven days, and further work will occur in due course.

The artist behind the landmark, Simon Hitchens (right) and Lord Devonport (left) are pictured here during a visit to Cold Law where the Elizabeth Landmark will be sited. A place chosen for its topographical qualities and its historical significance.
