The Elizabeth Landmark

In Northumberland, a vision of Lord and Lady Devonport will be realised to create a landscape-scale legacy to Queen Elizabeth II and draw on the region’s heritage.

In the 1990s, Lord Devonport’s admiration for Queen Elizabeth II sparked an idea to create a long-lasting legacy to celebrate her life and Commonwealth reign.

Almost 30 years later, the Elizabeth Landmark, a major landscape sculpture by renowned landscape artist and sculptor Simon Hitchens, realises the vision.
